Nokia 5610 Xpress Music

Nokia 5610 Xpress Music: "
Specifications

The Nokia 5610 XpressMusic is the direct descendant of the Nokia 5300, but it is far more advanced than the forerunner that inspired it. As a music phone, the 5610 does exceedingly well but also performs other functions just as well.

Design and Looks
The phone is a slider that prides of solid construction: steel highlights run between the two sliding portions of the phone and keep them attached to each other thus cementing the phone’s robustness. Needless to say the phone has a dedicated music key pad that’s right below the display to help operate the music player. There’s also a music slider key or Navislide key present between the display and the dedicated music keys that helps one switch between the interface, the music player and the radio.

The phone is available in two colour schemes: one with red steel-highlights and a blue one with dark grey steel-highlights. The front of the phone sports a minimalist design and the back features a dimpled surface for easy gripping. The camera lens is slightly recessed into the back surface of the phone and is susceptible to scratches if not handled carefully. Also, most features of the phone can be operated by simply using the music/navigation keys at the front and there’s absolutely no need to slide out the keypad unless you need to text or dial in a number.

The phone’s camera has a resolution of 3MP that and also features autofocus and LED flash. What’s more is that the camera start-up time is almost instantaneous. A large 2.2 inch QVGA 16 million colour TFT LCD display adorns the front that offers amazing picture quality that is legible even in direct sunlight.

Probably the only drawback of the phone is the glossy plastic of the keypad which is a dirt magnet. There is also no facility for a 3.5mm headphone. For this you’ll have to insert your 3.5mm headphone pin into a jack adaptor that fits into the 2.5mm headphone port of the phone. Also, the lack of a miniUSB port to replace the uniquely awkward microUSB port can be somewhat of a bother since microUSB cables are hard to come by.

All in all, this is a must-have if you’re a music enthusiast who also wants a phone with full functionality at a reasonable price.
